Help/Recurring Bills/Managing a Recurring Bill Series

Managing a Recurring Bill Series

Each recurring bill belongs to a series. You can manage the series from the recurring bill template, which controls future bills without affecting bills that have already been generated.

To change the amount or schedule, edit the template. The change takes effect from the next generated bill. Bills already in the series (past or current) keep their original values.

To pause a series, set its status to Paused. No new bills will be generated until you resume it. To cancel permanently, set it to Cancelled. Cancelling does not delete existing bills in the series.

If a client's retainer rate changes, update the template amount and add a note. JustPayMe will use the new amount for all future bills in the series.
