Help/Reminder Policies/Choosing the Right Policy for Each Client

Choosing the Right Policy for Each Client

Not all clients need the same reminder cadence. A long-standing client who always pays a little late might only need a gentle nudge, while a new client or one with a history of slow payment might need a more assertive schedule.

JustPayMe lets you create multiple policies and assign them per bill. Consider creating at least three: a light-touch policy for trusted clients (2-3 steps over 14 days), a standard policy for most clients (4-5 steps over 30 days), and an intensive policy for high-risk or overdue accounts (daily steps for the first week, then every 3 days).

You can also mix manual and policy chases on the same bill. Use a policy for the standard schedule and add manual chases when something specific needs to be addressed.

Reminder Policy

A reminder policy defines a reusable schedule of chase steps (e.g. email 3 days before due, WhatsApp on due date, SMS 7 days after). Assign a policy to a bill and chases are generated automatically.

Policy vs Manual Chases

Policy chases are automatically generated from a reminder policy and sent on a schedule. Manual chases are one-off reminders you create yourself for a specific bill. Both types coexist — a bill can have both manual and policy-driven chases.
