When you say something like "Chase John for £500" on WhatsApp or Telegram, JustPayMe walks you through the usual quick chat — which client, which channel, when it was due, confirm — and then does two things in one go:
1. The chase you described is queued and sent shortly via the channel you chose. 2. A full reminder plan is automatically scheduled on top, using your configured Reminder Policy for that client. If you haven't set up a policy, JustPayMe falls back to the recommended preset — the same one you'd get from the "Our recommended rule" button on the Reminder Policies page.
The follow-up reminders fire automatically on the configured dates. You'll get a separate alert if the whole sequence completes and the bill is still unpaid.
If your reminder policy includes email steps but you haven't saved an email for that client, JustPayMe substitutes those steps with WhatsApp and SMS so nothing gets lost. To make every channel available, add the missing contact details on the client's record.
To change the cadence of follow-ups, edit the Reminder Policy for that client on the Reminder Policies page — your next chase will pick up the new rules.
Messaging as Primary Interface
JustPayMe is messaging-first: you can manage bills and respond to client queries from WhatsApp or Telegram. Your clients receive chase reminders on the channel that fits them — WhatsApp, SMS, or email.
Policy vs Manual Chases
Policy chases are automatically generated from a reminder policy and sent on a schedule. Manual chases are one-off reminders you create yourself for a specific bill. Both types coexist — a bill can have both manual and policy-driven chases.
