JustPayMe supports two types of chases, and they work alongside each other on the same bill.
Manual chases are individual reminders you create yourself. You write (or generate) the message, choose the channel, and pick a send time. Use manual chases when you want to send a specific message outside your normal schedule — for example, a personal follow-up after a client said they would pay last week.
Policy chases are automatically generated from a reminder policy. When you assign a policy to a bill, JustPayMe creates all the chase steps at once based on the policy's schedule. These chases are recalculated automatically if the bill's due date changes.
Both types appear in the same chase timeline on the bill, so you always have a complete view of what has been sent and what is scheduled.
Policy vs Manual Chases
Policy chases are automatically generated from a reminder policy and sent on a schedule. Manual chases are one-off reminders you create yourself for a specific bill. Both types coexist — a bill can have both manual and policy-driven chases.
