For SMS and WhatsApp, failures usually mean the phone number is wrong or the recipient has blocked messages. A delivery rate below 90% is worth investigating.
Read rate measures how many delivered chases were actually opened. Email read rate is tracked via a pixel — clients who block tracking pixels will show as unread even if they opened the message. WhatsApp read receipts are more reliable. A low read rate suggests your subject lines or preview text need work.
