You have the right to permanently delete your JustPayMe account and all associated personal data under GDPR Article 17 (right to erasure).
To delete your account, go to Settings > Personal Details and scroll to the Danger Zone section. Click "Delete my account". You will be shown a warning modal listing what will be deleted. You must type DELETE (in capitals) to confirm the action, and you may be asked to sign in again to verify your identity.
Once you confirm, your account deletion is queued. You are logged out immediately. Your data is permanently deleted within 30 minutes. This includes your profile, clients, bills, chases, calendar events, integrations, and API keys. Your Auth0 identity is deleted and your Stripe subscription (if any) is cancelled.
What is retained: For analytics purposes, a fully anonymised statistical snapshot is kept, this contains no name, email, or identifying information, only aggregate counts (number of bills, chases sent, subscription tier). This data cannot be traced back to you.
HMRC financial retention: If you had paid invoices, anonymised payment records (amount, date, currency) may be retained for up to 7 years to comply with UK HMRC requirements under Art. 17(3)(b). These records contain no name or email.
Once deletion is complete, you will receive a confirmation email to the address registered to your account. This action is irreversible, deleted accounts cannot be restored.
